The Villa
in a nutshell

This recently restored farmhouse can accommodate 10 people, plus a baby in a cot. It retains many original features and is on three levels.
The ground floor contains a large, well-equipped kitchen and dining area. This leads onto a terrace, and the pool and BBQ area.
There is also a large double bedroom, a second bedroom with 2 single beds and family bathroom.
The 1st floor has an entrance hall leading to the spacious main living area with wood burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen, a large double bedroom and a family bathroom.
The 2nd floor has a large double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and shower and a small office/dressing area. There is also space for a cot.
In front of the house is the garden, planted with herbs, mediterranean plants and fruit trees. The private unheated pool measures 7 by 4 metres.
There is ample space on the patio for the sun loungers and patio furniture, and the verandah has sufficient capacity for in excess of 12 persons dining alfresco.
The verandah features an integral bbq and the kitchen is conveniently adjacent.
Another separate, elevated patio, with direct links to the kitchen is accessed from the garden and is exposed to the sun in the morning but shaded for the remainder of the day.
There is ample parking, which is shaded continuously by the Mulberry tree which gives the house its name.
Much of the region remains relatively tourist-free and unknown, including its deeply traditional food – from the mountains, farmland and sea, Le Marche produces a varied, seasonal cuisine and truly distinctive wines.

UNSPOILT ITALY
"Spent a fantastic week here in July. Getting up that first morning and seeing the fantastic views along the valley to the hills and sea was a 'wow' moment! The house has so much character with a really interesting layout. My room was just off the kitchen which I meant I woke up to the smell of fresh coffee every morning. We also opted for a fruit/veg delivery - again absolutely fantastic and lovely knowing it's come from the local farmers. We ate outside on the terrace every night and once at the local restaurant, Hotel Leone. I would highly recommend this villa for anyone looking to relax and explore unspoilt Italy."

SIMPLY SPECTACULAR
"Casa Di Gelso is simply spectacular. We've stayed there four times (one winter & three summer) and have never been let down. The views are second to none and the climate and surroundings are perfect for a really relaxing holiday. There is something for everyone in the surrounding area - we can't wait to go back. For a taste of real Italy - you'll do well do find somewhere better."

JUST THE SOUND OF THE BIRDS
“An amazing place with superb views. No noise all except for the birds-what a wonderful place to relax. The house itself is very comfortable with lots of space and all your home comforts. The terrace is large and is a good place to sunbathe, adding in the occasional dip in the pool when it gets too hot. If you sit out at night, the bats will entertain you as you watch the stars. It's also a good base for visiting nearby villages. Each one is quaint with its own character. In all, it's a great place it visit if you want to chill out.”
